A Little Intro

The color palette has always enticed me as a young child. Falling in love with art at a very tender age and being trained in it, I feel solace and joy even today. Trained at the School of Art Institute, Chicago and after obtaining an MS in Computer Science and working for a while in the IT field, I decided to quit my job, pursue my passion and take a step forward.Over the course of time Paisley Academy Arts & Fabrics LLC was born. Although I have earned Academic Excellence award, a minor in Math and MS in Computer Science I truly believe that science and art are not mutually exclusive. A few hundred students from all around with a pure desire to create a beautiful world join by exploring their journey in art. My love for textile art took me to very remote and rural places in India where the red roads meet the sky. My journey in Kalamkari art so far has been fascinating. Researching and studying ancient crafts and figuring out the science behind such artform and its impact,
